Thompson

This book reads like a long conversation that many patients wish they could have had with their doctors. What stood out most to me is how clearly it explains why healthcare feels broken to ordinary people without drowning the reader in jargon. The authors don’t just criticize systems; they connect the dots between incentives, access, and outcomes in a way that feels humane. I appreciated that the tone was firm but not angry. It’s written for people who want to understand what’s happening to their care and what could realistically change.
